My name is Madeleine Campbell, an aspiring teacher to be who is passionate about the arts! This blog will be highlighting important elements of both Drama and Dance, as well as offering resources, lesson ideas, guiding theory and other great elements to help inspire teachers in these subject areas.
While my main focus in the arts is primarily Visual Arts, I have always had so much fun in classes such as Dramatic Arts and Dance. Although the arts often get overlooked in today's math-driven society, it is important to reflect on our practices and remind ourselves of the value that subjects within the arts hold for student growth and success. As students develop, they need creative outlets such as Drama and Dance to explore their inner emotions, feelings and think critically about the world around them. Innovation requires creativity, and the arts facilitate and refine that creativity.
